She was born Nov. 16, 1925, in Reynoldsville, Ill., the daughter of Henry and Stella May Hawkins Johnson. She married Arthur Sharp. He died in December of 1993.
She was a member of Princeville Baptist Church.
She had been employed at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo., for 15 years. She had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1949. For the last 10 years, she lived in Peoria.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Sharp of Peoria and Sharon Harrison of Melrose Park, Ill.; two brothers, June Johnson of Sturtevant, Wis., and Billy Taylor of Eddyville, Ky.; four grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two brothers and two sisters.
A graveside service will be in Lindsey Cemetery in McClure, IL.
