WHITEHOUSE - Services for James A. Brown, 56, Whitehouse, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday in Burks- Walker· Tippit Funeral Home chapel with the-Revs. Sherman Mayfield, Dale Osteen and Lewis Bell officiating.
Burial will be in Whitehouse Cemetery.
Mr. Brown died Saturday at his home.
He was born May 8, 1932, in Smith County. He graduated from Whitehouse High School and was a member of Gateway Baptist Church. He was superintendent of Porter Construction Co.
Survivors inclde his wife, Johnnie Ruth Brown Whitehouse; one son, Jerry Brown, Whitehouse; one. son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sheila Brown, Whitehouse; three brothers, John Brown, Seminole, Don Brown, Mannford, Okla. and Lewis Brown, Brushy Creek; and four sisters, Eloise Hill, Tyler, Rose Freeman, Noonday, Doris Freeman, Seminole, and Ruby Edscorn, Olympia.
Pallbearers will be Bob Magouirk, Billy Cottrell, Darrell Hasten, Cordell Mitchum, Louie Neal and Joel Martin.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas.
