Caroline was the daughter of George Sprankle & Eva Wecht. Note that her obituary erroneously indicates she was the daughter of Benjamin Sprankle (no mother's name mentioned) and her death certificate erroneously shows she was the daughter of James Sprankle and mother unknown.

She married: (1) James Weaver and, after his death, (2) Joel Tompkins on 13 Jul 1878.

Caroline & James Weaver had three children: Laura (Chevalier); Isadora (Hartman); & Harry O.
