Polly C. Wood, 82, died Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis. She was a member of National Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. "Jack" Wood. She is survived by her son, Tommy J. Wood of Millington, two daughters, Carol Clark of Memphis, and Mickey Twilla of Houston, TX, 7 grandchildren, Beth, Jon, Tim, Polly Renee, Kristy, Lora, and Jackie, and 11 great grandchildren, Josh, Jaycee, Jessica, Zachary, Allison, Cody, Gavin, Katie, Dalton, Alyssa, and Emily. Services will be Monday, January 26 at 1 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home in the Riverside Chapel. A visitation will be held Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
