W. L. COLLINGS, 71 OLD RESIDENT HERE, DIES

William Lafayette Collings, 71 years old and lifelong resident of the county, died Tuesday at his home east of Princeton, following a stroke of paralysis Sunday night. The funeral was held Wednesday from the Hunter church being conducted by the Rev. David E.Cooper. Burial was made in the Hunter cemetery.
William Lafayette Collings, a son of William A.and Mary Frances Collings, was born in Mercer county May 17, 1869. He was married to Mary C. Powell March 3, 1892 and they became the parents of three sons and two daughters, Ova A. Collings, Allerton, Fred Eugene Collings, South of Princeton, Olin Clinton Collings of near Ravanna, Mrs. Letha Laurell Holt, Newtown and Mrs. Julia Frances Brannam of near Ravanna. Mr.Collins united with the Methodist church early in life.
Besides his wife and sons and daughters he is survived by fourteen grandchildren,two great grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters, Clint Collins of Mercer county, Vince Collings of Yakima, Wash. Mrs. Lena Giore and Mrs. Tella Owens of Yakima, Wash.
