OBITUARY, Connersville [IN] News-Examiner, Tuesday, March 22, 1932:

Mrs. Jerusha Pruitt, aged 75, a half-sister of Mrs. George Simpson of Connersville, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the home of her son, Bernie, near Rushville. Other relatives who survive are four other children, James Pruitt and Mrs. John Hunter of Laurel; Clem Pruitt of Milroy and Roy Cassady of near Rushville; and two half-brothers, Marshall Krammes of Homer, Ind., and H. Krammes of near Brookville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Brethren church at Andersonville, by the Rev. Mr. Machlan of Arlington. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel cemetery south of Andersonville.

Mrs. Jerusha Pruitt Dies Monday Evening

Life-long Resident of Near Laurel Expires at Home of Son Near Rushville
Funeral Services To Be Held On Thursday

Mrs. Jerusha Pruitt, aged 75 years, died suddenly Monday evening at 5:30 o'clock at the home of her son, Bernie Pruitt, three miles south of this city on State Road, No. 52. She had been in failing health for the past year but her death came untimely to her immediate family and friends.

Mrs. Pruitt was a life-long resident of near Laurel and Buena Vista and she had come to this county in September of last year to make her home with her son where she expired. Her husband, James Pruitt, a Civil War veteran, preceded her in death several years ago.

The deceased is survived by three other sons, Clem Pruitt of near Milroy, James Pruitt of Laurel, and Roy Cassady of Rush county, and one daughter, Mrs. John Hunter of Laurel. One half-sister, Mrs. George Simpson of Connersville, and two half-brothers, Marshall Krammes of Homer and Had Krammes of Brookville, are also listed among the survivors.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the United Brethren church in Andersonville with the Rev. Merritt Hachlan of Arlington in charge. Interment will be made in the cemetery at Wesley Chapel, south of Andersonville.
