His birth year is in question if one compares his grave marker to his death certificate and his obituary. His death certificate lists his birth date as 1868. The 1870 census listed him as age 2. The 1900 census stated that he was born in May 1868. As seen below, his obit stated he was born in 1869. 1868 seems to be the best guess.

He was divorced from Minnie before 1930 and did not marry again.

     William Claybourne Harvey, the son of George Washington and Armeda Ann Harvey, was born near Browning 13 May 1869 and died 15 Apr 1946. Married Minnie Knifong 19 Feb 1891.  Two daughters born, Mrs. Clark Burnham of St. Louis and Mrs. Joel DeWitt of Meadville where he had made home for past eight years.  Also leaves a brother Dr. E. P. Harvey of Salem, MO; a sister Louella Kroll of Independence, MO.  Preceded by parents, brothers John and Joe, sister Mollie Alexander and Flora Brooks.  Burial in Meadville Cemetery.
