Edith Evelyn Elliott, age 92, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009, in St. George, Utah. She was born November 25, 1916, in Alberta, Canada, to Herbert Moore and Gertrude Edith Kellaway Foreman.

Edith and her family moved to Los Angeles, California in 1921, where she attended high school. Her mother passed away in 1926, and her and her father kept house. Edith was known as mother's helper. She married Godfrey Lee James, known as Jimmy, in 1937. They had a wonderful marriage until Jimmy developed leukemia and preceded her in death in 1975.

Edith worked for Allied Aircraft in 1955, in North Hollywood, CA. In 1958, she went to work for Resdel Engineering in Pasadena, CA, until 1975.

Edith married Henry George Elliott (1910-1996) in 1978, and they moved to St. George, Utah. Hank and Edie enjoyed their boat and 5th wheel trailer. They traveled to Florida, up the East Coast, to Ohio, and to the Pacific Coast. After a long illness, Henry passed away on February 26, 1996. Edith was a loving care giver throughout his illness.

Edith was an active member of the St. George Community Church of St. George.

She is survived by brother-in-law, Ray Elliott of Vancouver, WA; close friends, Roy and Sally Crouch of St. George, Pam Eliassen of Altadena, CA; niece, Drucilla Mills of Goleta, CA; and her many friends of The St. George Community Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, and both of her husbands.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 23, 2009, at the St. George Community Church, 95 S. 800 E., St. George. Interment will take place in the St. George City Cemetery.
