Son of Henry and Christine Maria (Fett) Abel. He married Maria Honade, Nov 6, 1884.

OBITUARY;
THEODORE M ABEL, 80, life long resident of this vicinity, died in his home, Wednesday evening at 8:45 o'clock. Death followed a lingering illness since March.
He was born July 7, 1859, two miles northeast of Donnellson, and was a farmer by occupation. He was united in marriage to Miss Marie Honadel, November 6, 1884, in the bride's home near Franklin, Iowa. He was a member of St Paul's Evangelical and Reformed church in Donnellson, and has served at various times on the church board.
Surviving are his wife, one son, Henry J. Abel, two daughters, Mrs. Clara Best and Mrs. Amanda Fett, all of Donnellson, Lee Co., Iowa; two grandsons, Davis Hirschler and Arthur Fett, Donnellson; two great grandsons, Charles Hirschler and Dale Fett, one great granddaughter, Lilas Fett, all of Donnellson, Lee Co., Iowa.
Mr. Abel was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Short funeral services will be held in the Abel home Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, and in the St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed church at 2 0'clock. Rev. E.K. Schneider, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in the Evangelical cemetery, Lee Co., Iowa.
The body will be taken from the Agnew Funeral Home in Donnellson to the Abel home Friday noon.
The body was laid to rest in the Evangelical Cemetery, Donnellson, Lee Co., Iowa. The following nephews of the deceased were pallbearers: Aaron Abel, Oscar Abel, Harry Abel, Raymond Abel, Elmer Abel and David Abel.
