TILLEY

Lieutenant Commander George K. Tilley, U.S. Navy retired, passed to his rest in McKinney, Texas on January 12, 2005 at the age of 90. Mr. Tilley was born on October 6, 1914 in Banner, Oklahoma the son of Franklin and Maude Tilley, and the youngest of four children. He grew up in El Reno, Oklahoma and was a member of the First Christian Church. He joined the U.S. Navy in June of 1934 and served his country for thirty years. He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty years, Dorothy Willard Tilley, and his wife of twenty years, Floreine Chiles Tilley. He is survived by his son, Pete Tilley of McKinney, Texas; daughter Susan Ah-Mau of Napa, CA.; 12 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M., Saturday, January 15, 2005 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 22, 2005, at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 100 N. Barker St., El Reno, OK. Burial with Military Honors will be in the El Reno Cemetery. The family will be receiving guests for the visitation on Friday, January 21, from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the Wilson Funeral Home.
