Funeral services for Martin W Scheumann, 83, of Marion Township, Allen County, will be at 1:30 pm Thursday at the Zwick Funeral Home, Decatur, and at 2 pm at St John's Church, Bingen, Rev EAH Jacob officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr Scheumann died at his residence following an illness of four weeks. A lifelong resident of Marion Township, he was the son of pioneer residents of that community and had lived in his present home his entire life. He was a retired farmer. He was a life longmember of St John's Evangelical Lutheran Church at Bingen. His wife, Anna,died in 1955. Surviving are two sons, Norvin, Fort Wayne, and Vernon, Woodburn; three daughters, mrs Ray (Viola) Finner, Fort Wayne, Mrs Bill (Lorine) Counterman, Hoagland, and Miss Della Scheumann at home; a sister, Mrs Herman Seddelmeyer, Fort Wayne; a daughter-in-law, Mrs Melvin (Lorine) Scheumann, with whom he resided; and 21 grandchildren.
