Mrs. Nancy E. McKinney, 824 E. Cherry St., Sherman, died Wednesday night, Sept. 15, 1971, in Wysong Hospital at McKinney, after six weeks illness.

Friends will be received in Honey Grove Thursday between 7 and 9 p.m. at Cooper-Sorrels Funeral Home, where the service is set for 3 p.m. Friday, the Rev. Robert Hinson of Marlowe, Okla., to officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Born in Urbana, Mo., March 12, 1888, Mrs. McKinney was a daughter of J. B. and Nannie L. (Reynolds) Garrison and was married at Windom, July 22, 1906 to I. W. McKinney.

Her husband died July 4, 1968, and she leaves a son, W. O. McKinney, Arlington, Va.; four daughters: Mrs. Myrtle Stanley of Petal, Miss.; Mrs. Louise Paulk, Richardson, Mrs. Allene Pipes of Tyler, and Mrs. Gladys Myers of Dallas; eight other descendants and a sister, Mrs. Rosa Skinner of Lakeview.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Esther McKinney of 825 East Cherry, Sherman, were held at the Cooper-Sorrells Chapel at 3:00 o'clock last Friday afternoon. The Rev. Robert Hinson, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Marlow, Okla., was the officiant and interment was in Oakwood Cemetery.

Named pallbearers were Earl Collins, Earl Roberts, Jack Self, Frank Welch, Robert Shelton, Jr., and Clyde Hall.

Mrs. McKinney, ill for the past six weeks, died at 10:45 o'clock Wednesday night, Sept. 15, 1971, in Wysong Hospital at McKinney where she had been a patient for about two weeks.

A native of Urbana, Missouri, Mrs. McKinney was born March 17, 1888, the daughter of the late James B. Garrison and Nannie L. Reynolds Garrison.

She married I. W. McKinney at Windom on July 22, 1906. He preceded her in death, July 4, 1968.

She was a member of the Church of God at Sherman.

Survivors include a son, W. O. McKinney of Arlington, Va.; four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Stanley of Petal, Miss.; Mrs. Louise Paulk of Richardson; Mrs. Allene Pipes of Tyler; and Gladys Myers of Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Rosa Skinner of Lake View; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A son, Elmer McKinney preceded her in death in 1939.
