DEATH OF A.W. MCGREGOR.
Almost Without Warning, the Summons Came Today.
At 11 o’clock this forenoon, A.W. McGregor died, at the home of his son-in-law, H.K. Ricker on Capital Hill. His death was very sudden, he having walked down town and back less than an hour before he quite breathing. When he reached home he complained of a slight pain in his stomach, a little later Dr. Hatchett was summoned, and while he was in the house, Mr. McGregor suddenly called to him, and died, instantly.
Mr. McGregor had lived in or near El Reno ever since the opening of the country. He proved up a claim south of town, and several years later established the Capital Hotel in this city, which he conducted for some time. He was 76 years old at the time of his death.
The funeral will not be announced until Mr. Ricker arrives from Kansas City, to which place the news was wired him.
