CRISTE-Regis W., 86, Falls Church, VA, formerly of Loretto, died Dec. 22, 1997 at Arlington Hospital. Born May 26, 1911, in Muster Township, son of the late Charles A. and Margaret (Donahue) Criste. Preceded in death by wife, former Mary Ellen McConnell, who died Aug 12, 1983, daughter, Mary Frances, grandson, Stephen Criste; borthers, Hildebert, Walter, Leo, Joseph and Charles and sisters, Bertha Thomas, Beatrice Seymour and Matilda Buck. Survived by children, Robert, Lynchburg, VA., Anette, Falls church, VA.: Margaret Fegan, Gainesville, VA., Therese Desrosiers and Bernadette Sheedy, both of Arlington, VA.; Helena, Falls Church, VA; Francis, Burke, VA.; and Judith, San Diego, CAlif; also 28 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nephews and nieces.
Member of The Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel, Loretto, and its Legion of Mary. Also member of the Carmelite Third Order Secular, Loretto.
Friends received from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where wake service will be held. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at The Basilica of St. Michael, the Rev. Msgr, Thomas Maher. Intermant church cemetery.
