WIRT (sic) - MYERS. -- On the 2d inst., by the Rev. E. Kieffer, Mr. Emanuel Wirt (sic), Mr. Emanuel Wirt (sic), to Miss Mary A. Myers, both of this county.

Emanuel Wert died at his home, 523 Hamilton Street, at 2:15 this morning after a protracted illness, aged 83 years. Prior to six years ago when he removed to Carlisle, he was for many years a prominent farmer of North Middleton Township. Practically all of his lifetime he was an active member of the Carlisle Springs Lutheran Church and Sunday School. Mr. Wert was a devoted father, a man of many fine qualities, and a good citizen.

He is survived by the following child: Laura, at home; Mrs. William Stone, Middlesex Township; Mrs. Geo. Brown, Carlisle, and Milton and Newton C. Wert, of the Beetem Lumber and Manufacturing Company, Carlisle. Miss Phoebe Wert, of Carlisle, is a sister.

Brief funeral services will be held at his late home Saturday afternoon at 1:30, and further services in Carlisle Springs Church. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining.

He was a member of the Carlisle Springs Lutheran Church. Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Laura Wert, at home; Mrs. William Stone, Middlesex township; Mrs. George Brown, Carlisle; Milton Wert and Newton C. Wert, Carlisle; Miss Phoebe (sic) Wert, of Carlisle, is a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 to-morrow (sic) afternoon at the home, followed by further services in the Carlisle Springs Church. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.
