ACCIDENT VICTIM SUCCUMBS AFTER MONTHS ILLNESS

Peter Christian Christensen of Elsinore died at his home at 10 p.m. from complications resulting from injuries he received in a run-a-way, when he was thrown from his wagon over an embankment about two miles south of Manti on August 7.

Peter C. Christensen was born June 14, 1871, in Sorup, Allburg, Denmark. He came to Utah with his parents at the age of 22 years. On November 26, 1902, he married Hidevig Kerstine Jepson, and from that union were born four children, Mrs. Mary Christensen of Central, Christian, Anna, and Willard Christensen of Elsinore. After the death of his first wife, he was married on November 26, 1913, to Olena Jepson. Their children are Gerald, Reva, Mona, Nedon, Carma, Sheron and Dona Lou, all living with their mother at Elsinore. Surviving also are one brother, Nels C. Christensen of Elsinore, and two grandchildren.

Mr. Christensen was a devoted member of the L.D.S Church and active in civic affairs.

Funeral services will be held in the Elsinore Ward Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Impressive funeral services were held Sunday afternoon for Peter C. Christensen, 60, who passed away at his home here on August 31. Death came as a result of injuries received in a run-a-way accident with his team of month ago.

The services were presided over by Bishop Leon T. Madsen. Musical numbers were by a quartet composed of Mrs. Helen Christensen, Miss Faye Christensen, J. Alvin Bell, and Henry J. Kotter, in addition to a vocal solo by Mrs. Minnie Sylvester. The speakers were P.C.B. Peterson of Richfield, Patriarch J.I. Jensen, Henry J. Kotter and Bishop Madsen. All spoke of the splendid character of the deceased.

Expressions of appreciation from the town council were read from the town council were read by Chester Johnson, a member of the board. Mr. Christensen had for thirty years been connected I various ways with the town board, having full charge of the water system, in which capacity he was energetic and faithful.

The invocation was offered by C.W. Hawley of Central, and the benediction by Christian Dausel of Central. Pall bearers were H.P. Christiansen, Alfred Johnson, Soren Hermansen, Hans Hermansen, J.L. Staples and John Busk.

The profusion of beautiful flowers which covered the bier expressed the esteem in which the deceased was held.

Interment was in the Elsinore Cemetery, where N.P. Anderson dedicated the grave.

Among those from out-of-town who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. James R. Ware, James Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Hansen of Monroe; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Johnson and Woodruff Johnson of Panquitch, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Youngdale, Miss Christena Jacobson and Mrs. Nettie Miller of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Harding of Provo and Anton Jeppson of Salina.
