F.D. Garver, 52 years old, died at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon in his home, 405 East Center street, of heart trouble. He attended a surprise party given by the Order of Easter Star, Thursday evening in the home of Ira Smith, 1712 East William street, becoming suddenly ill about 8 o'clock. He was taken to his home but did not show any improvement. He had been in poor health for a number of years.

Mr. Garver was born in Monticello, May 12, 1862. Fifteen years ago he moved to Decatur. He has been a bookkeeper for a number of plumbing house in Decatur.
He leaves besides a widow; two sisters, Mrs. Freak J. Saffer of Decatur and Miss Leanor Garver of Peoria; three brothers, Richard Garver of Peoria, Tylor Garver of Champaign and William Garver of Los Angeles.

He was a member of Macon Lodge No. 8, A.F. & A.M., Order of Foresters, the I.O.O.F. and Macon Chapter No. 21 Order of the Eastern Star.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 Sunday afternoon in the home, Rev. W.H. Penhallegon, pastor of First Presbyterian church, officiating.

The body will be taken on a special interurban car to Monticello for burial.
