Mr. Baker

Graveside funeral services for Walter Baker, 87, a former Lampasas resident, were held Wednesday afternoon in Oak Hill Cemetery with Minister Lon Jones officiating.
Mr. Baker died Monday in an Austin hospital.
He was born Feb. 5, 1901, in Meridian and lived in Lampasas most of his life. He was employed by the Lampasas ice plant for 51 years.
Mr. Baker married Edda Arrowood on Nov. 19, 1921. He was a member of the First and Walnut St. Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Walter A. Baker of California and Glenn Baker of Jonestown; three daughtera, Dorothy Baker of Lampasas, Doris Green of Santa Fe. N.M., and Edna Bleimeyer of Santa Fe, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, and an number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edda Baker, in 1971.
