Beloved son of John and Agnes Filipski. Loving Husband of Jeri (Geraldine). Jeri and Flip, as he was known, had a 3 1/2 year romance during WWll, writing letters back and forth as he served with the Navy in the South Pacific, then back to the States to Hospital Corps school. They married Nov. 5, 1945 after he finally got stationed on the west coast near her hometown of Pasadena, CA. Tragically he was killed by a drunk driver on Dec 22, 1945. They had been married barely six weeks. Even though she remarried several times, Flip remained her "one true love".
