Sometimes her name appears as Lucy Caroline, and sometimes as Caroline Lucy (the headstone says Carrie L.). She was one of six children God gave to Joseph Elijah Martin and Martha E. Gaither. She was the firstborn. She married G. T. "Dick" Boyd on Dec. 24, 1907, in Martin Springs, Baxter Co., Ark. They had 9 children: Leon Morris, Joseph Arlie, Blanche Ophelia, Charles Howard, baby boy, Ray Franklin, Alvie, George T., Ralph John, and Marlin Martin. The baby is buried near his parents here in Martin Cemetery.
