Kenny was a son of the late Edward Garland and Mae (Oates) Welch. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Whitacre and Judy Weese; and one grandson, Clinton Parrish.
He was a retired coal miner, Korean War veteran, member of the IOOF, and a proud member of the Elk District Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lenora; one son; two daughters; one brother; one sister; and seven grandchildren.
