A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late Lewis Daniel and Margaret Potts LEA. He was of the Baptist faith and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Carolina Trailways for 22 years, retiring in 1986 with a million miles accident-free record and was employed by Southern Coach since 1986.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by the Rev. Don Brown. Burial will be in Creedmoor Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Nordan LEA, of the home; a daughter, Deborah McDonald and husband, Larry, of Richmond, Va.; two sons, Patrick Robertson and wife, Wanda, of Creedmoor, and Scott LEA, of Creedmoor; a sister, Lela Frances LEA, of Creedmoor; a brother, Edgar "Luke" LEA, of Creedmoor; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
