Steven L. "Stevie" Faulkner, 51, died May 5, 2008, at his home, Hutchinson.
He was born July 26, 1956, in Independence, the son of Claude Elvis and Mary Louise Woodall Faulkner. He was a musician and a caretaker.
On Oct. 25, 1998, he married Rita Faye Chestnut in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: brother, Ellis, Spokane, Wash; niece, April Blakey, Hutchinson; nephew, Claude Blakey Cochran, Turon; cousins, Claudine Corkins, Hutchinson, James Claude "Woody" Woodall, Jr., Wichita; and a brother-in-law, Fred Agee, Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ricky Faulkner, a sister, Claudette Faulkner, and nephews, Wade Blakey, Paul Blakey, and Larry Corkins, Jr.
Memorial service will be at 2 pm Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Friends may sign the register Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be sent to the Steven L. Faulkner Memorial Fund in care of the Hutchinson Government Employee Credit Union.
