Marilyn Kay Stokes, seven year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Stokes, drowned Wednesday night.
While walking along the Midland Valley Railroad tracks with her sister, she fell into a seven-foot-deep, rain-filled pit that was formed by a steam shovel loading gravel on cars.
Her father recovered her body and firemen worked two hours trying to revive her.
