Dr. De Wilton Snowden, one of the oldest citizens of Laurel, Md., died at midnight Wednesday at the home of his son-in-law, Dr. Emory G. Valk, in that town. He had been in feeble health for a year, suffering from disease of the heart. Dr. Snowden was 80 years of age. He was born at "Montpelier," three miles from Laurel, the homestead of his branch of the Snowden family. He was the third son of Nicholas Snowden. During the war he served as a sergeant in the Confederate army.
