Virginia Catherine Slagle was born Sept.29,1850 in Polk County Missouri. Married to Samuel Asberry Tindle in 1868.Moved to Decatur,Texas in 1874 and resided here until December 1902. Removed to Frederick Oklahoma in 1902. Mr.Tindle preceded her in death in 1919.
To this union were born nine children,eight of whom survive,Charles Tindle,Faxton Okla.;Albert Tindle,Grandview
Okla.;Mrs.R.B.Holden, Frederick Okla.;Mrs.J.G.Dixon,Decatur Mrs.R.G.Roberson,Artesia N.M;Mrs.W.S.Duncan,Frederick,Okla.
Mrs.W.H.Cockrell,Lawton Okla.;Marvin Tindle,Lawton,Okla.,22 grandchildren,22 great-grandchildren.Mrs. Tindle was converted at an early age and joined the Methodist church.The body was brought over land to Decatur Monday morning by Mclellan Funeral Home of Frederick,Okla. Funeral services were held at Christian's Funeral Chapel Monday afternoon,October,25 at 2:30 o'clock,conducted by Dr.J.L.
Ward. Pallbearers were: Syl Hardwick, C.L.Maiden,H.M.Foster
A.B.Farrington,Will Stokes and George Roach. Interment was made in Bethel cemetery.
