Mass of Christian burial for Bernadette C. Freeland, 90, will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Therese's Catholic Church, with the Rev Richard Plante as celebrant.
Mrs. Freeland died Tuesday at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Burial will be in Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Behrens Mortuary, with a rosary scripture wake service at 7:30 p.m.
A memorial has been established for the church.
She was born Jan. 12, 1900, at Prairie Du Chien, Wis., to Joseph and Julia Ingle. She grew up there and moved with her family to Harrold in the early 1920s.
On Feb. 8, 1922, she married James Freeland at Harrold. They moved to Rapid City in 1930.
She was a member of St. Therese's Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Charlotte (Mrs. John) Mikolash and Phyllis (Mrs. George) McDaniels, both of Rapid City, Catherine (Mrs. Ted) Pertzborn of Waunakee, Wis., Shirley (Mrs. Marvin) Vanover of Prairie Du Sac, Wis., and Mary (Mrs. Marvin) Quinn of Plymouth, Utah; a son, James Freeland of Rapid City; a twin sister, Beatrice Axmaker of Harrold; three brothers, Mark Ingle of Prairie Du Chien, Art Ingle of Harrold and Donald Ingle of Three Rivers, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; 23 greatgrandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four brothers and a sister.
