Mrs. Bessie Van Horn, 56 died in her home five miles south of Cerro Gordo at 1 am today following a short illness.
She was born Feb. 21,1889 and was married to William Van Horn Dec. 8, 1909 in Decatur. She was a member of the Methodist church in La Place.
She leaves a son, Lyle of Cerro Gordo, two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Alikonis, Bloomington and Mrs. Helen Dickey, at home three grandchildren, four brothers William And Joseph Chapman, Decatur, Edmund, Bert of Cerro Gordo and two sisters, Myrtle Ragman,Decatur,Lena Lamb,Bement.
Funeral services will be Thursday with burial in La Place cemetery.
