He married Violet Perkins March 21st, 1931. He worked as a crane operator with Gervich and Sons for 44 years, retiring in 1971.
He was preceded in death by his wife, violet in 1991, a daughter Bonnie Bulanek, a son Robert Sr. and three brothers.
Survivors include a son Jerry Eash, Marshalltown, a daughter Marilyn Gardner, Marshalltown ; two brothers, Tim Marshalltown, and William, Gilman, three sisters, Maxine (Mrs. Earl) Spence, Marshalltown, and Bernice Honeck, State Center and Alma Ogan, Grinnell; 14grandchildern, and 18 great-grandchildern.
