FULTON Essie Beatrice Johnson Blaylock, 89, died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at the Daniel Health Care Complex. She was born June 3, 1909, in Mississippi to R.A. Johnson and Dora McDowell Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Fulton.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby Jarrell, Bro. Terry Paul Graham and Bro. Roy McHenry officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Darlene Coggin, and her husband, John, of Fulton; two sons, Adrion Buddy Blaylock and his wife, Thellon, and Charles Blaylock and his wife, Ann, all of Fulton; one sister, Zedera Houston of Chicago; seven grandchildren, Cindy West, Tim Steele, Janet Thomas, Dale Blaylock, Mitzi Blaylock, Jeff Coggin and Kris Parrish; eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Blaylock; her parents; two sisters; and one brother.
Pallbearers will be Edward Spencer, John Blaylock, Robert Blaylock, Prentiss Jackson, Vester Pettigo and Mark Moore.
