ELDA MAE FARNWORTH - ROCK SPRINGS
Funeral services for Elda Mae Farnworth were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 1994 at the Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk St. Rock Springs. Bishop Ed Eyring of the LDS Church conducted the services. Interment was in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens north of Rock Springs.
Pall bearers were Michael Farnworth, Jr., Tucker Downs, Shane Shouthard, Keith Kershisnik, Mark Magagna and Chris House.
Mrs. Farnworth, 81, of 1325 Sage St., Rock Springs, died at 12:45 p.m. Tues, Aug. 2 at the Sage View Care Center in Rock Springs where she had been a patient since Dec. 1, 1988
A longtime resident of Rock Springs, Mrs. Farnworth had been in ill health for the past several years.
She was born Feb.18, 1913 in Wells, Nev., the daughter of the late Guy and Elda Giles Kelly. She attended schools in Nevada and married Arthur M. Farnworth in Reno, Nev. Jan. 22, 1934. He preceded her in death in Rock Springs Sept. 14, 1982.
She was a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include her son, Michael D. Farnworth of Rock Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Lynn (Fay) Southard of Rocks Springs; Louise Jean Pedro of Jamestown, Calif; and Mrs. Larry (Margaret) House of Powder Wash,Colo.; two brothers Sidney Kelley of Sacramento,Calif. and Merritt Kelley of St. George, Utah; three sisters, Chloe Brockman of Ely,Nev.,Flora Byram of Sparks, Nev. and Mary Mavey of Thayne; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Farnworth was preceded in death by one sister, Tessie Hill and two sons in infancy.
