Allen loved going on cruises with his family, trips to Laughlin, playing golf, working with wood, spending summer Sundays at the lake and line dancing with wife Sallie. He enjoyed archery and was a member of the Woodlake Antelope Archers. He also participated in numerous bowling leagues.
A native son of Fresno his entire life, he retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Company after 35 years of service. For the past 4 1/2 years he worked part time at Darryl's Mini Storage with wife Sallie.
Allen was very special to many and will be greatly missed. He is held in loving memory by his beloved wife, Sallie of Fresno; children, Tammy Rodgers and her husband John of Woodlake, Ca., Debbie Matheney and her husband Garland of Newport, Oregon, Sherry Champ and her husband Roy of Prather, Ca., Sheila Reed and her husband Ron of Cincinnati, Ohio, Greg Stovall and his wife Lena of Middleton, Idaho, David Rodgers and his wife Allison of Exeter, Ca., Terry Bristow and his wife Jewel of Woodlake, Ca., Robert Bristow and his wife Bonnie of Weldon, Ca., and Joe Bristow of Needles, Ca. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on Friday, January 23, 2009, at 11:00 a.m.
