Shannon O'neal Crawford, 40, of Chillicothe, passed away Sunday (January 18, 2009) at the Adena Regional Medical Center.

He was born on December 9, 1968, in Queens, NY, son of Marie (Barkley) Crawford-Barbary and the late Booker Thomas Crawford.

Mr. Crawford worked as a cook in the food service industry. He served in the U.S. Army from 1988 to 1992.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Virginia (Ingram) Crawford, of the home, whom he married on June 2, 2006; two stepdaughters, Ashley Spencer, of Chillicothe, and Brook Spencer, of Cambridge; a brother; three sisters; a step-grandchild; two nephews; five nieces; an uncle; his godmother; and his maternal grandmother.

Services were entrusted to Thorn-Black Funeral Home of Cambridge, Ohio.
