She was the daughter of Hiram Cook and Fanny Mariah Graham, she married Cullen E Knowles in 1876 and had lived in the house on North Main ever since.
She died after a protracted illness from a complication of diseases, tumor for abnorma growth bein ghte principal cause of trouble and this was supplemented with dropsy, causing intense suffering which baffled medical treatment bu which she bore with the utmost fortitude and patience.
She is survived by her husband and children Elmer David( my great grandfather), Edwin H, Ella Louise and Edith E. Mrs Knowles was preeminently a home woman, and found her highest happiness in ministering to her family. She was a charter member of the Rathbone sisters and was the first of it membership to die.
