Funeral services for Guy Jones, 63, of 1620 West Second, space 98, Rock Springs, were held Friday, Dec. 29, at the Vase Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Thomas Miller, Mike Filipovich, William Kaiser Elich, William Wardlaw, Ed Hofeldt and George Llewellyn.

Interment with military honors by the American Legion Archie Hay Post No. 24 was in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Jones died Dec. 25 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County, where he had been a patient since Dec. 9.

He was born on Oct. 18, 1915 at Centralia, Ill., the son of the late Joseph E. and Lucy J. Stonecipher Jones. He was graduated from the Reliance High School in Reliance, and resided at Dines, Wyoming.

He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force following graduation and was at Pearl Harbor when it was attacked on Dec. 7, 1941. He retired after 30 years of active service on August 31, 1970 and on Nov. 19, 1972 returned to Rock Springs to make his home.

Survivors include his fiancée, Enid Flew, of Reliance; two brothers, Robert L. and Orin Jones, both of Iuka, Ill., several nieces and nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister. He was a member of the American Legion Archie Hay Post No. 24, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 2943, and a life member of the Non-Commissioned Officers Assn.
