Mrs. Ellen Hayes Cramblit, 77, wife of Frank L. Cramblit of Dudley, died at the Shahan Nursing home in Eddyville at 12: 45 a.m. today.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Hayes, she was born near Dudley June 5, 1876.
A resident of Wapello county all of her life, she was a member of the Methodist church. Her marriage to Mr. Cramblit took place October 19, 1894, in Chillicothe.
Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Raymond, H. Cramblit of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Earl G. Cramblit, of Ottumwa, three daughters, Mrs. Icel Duncan, of Cheyenne, Wyo., Mrs. Genevive Paschal, of San Gabriel, Calif., and Mrs. Fern Bates of Ottumwa; eight grandchildren and one brother, J. A. Hayes of Ottumwa. A daughter Myrtle, died in 1932.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Johnson funeral chapel. Burial will be in Columbia cemetery near Dudley.
