Catherine Mallory born March 22 1794

Nathaniel Mallory's name appears on the United Empire Loyalist list. He made a petition for land in the old Lunenburg District, Upper Canada at Matilda, in October 1790. Matilda was a township in present day Dundas County on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River, about 79 km / 48 miles north east of Mallorytown.
His history in Connecticut and then Vermont, and the names of his parents, are disputed subjects among researchers.
The headstone inscription, which is quite worn, was first read as died "Aged 56 years", however from another angle, the age looks more like "66 years", which would be a more accurate reflection of a man whose eldest child was born 1767.
