Former Henry County Medical Center employee Katherine Crowder, 77, of Paris died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at Henry County Medical Center.
The body was cremated.
A private graveside service is planned at a later date at Walker Cemetery.
There will be no visitation. Ridgeway Funeral Home is in charge.
Born May 10, 1931, in Cottage Grove, she was a daughter of Wallace and Gladys Hosford Cox, now both deceased.
She was married in 1958 to Hafford Crowder Jr., who died March 7, 2002.
Crowder was a graduate of Cottage Grove High School. She worked for 28 years as an X-ray technician at Henry County Medical Center. She was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
She leaves two daughters: Betty Dumas of Kevil, Ky., and Lori Arwood of Southaven, Miss.; one sister: Elizabeth McWherter of Paris; and five grandchildren: Robin Walker of Henry, Felicia and Seconda Dumas and Madison and Abbey Arwood.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers: Dorris and A.J. Cox.
