CLARK, Helen Motley, 76, died Saturday, January 17, 2009 at her home. Survivors include her husband, Wallace Huey Clark; a daughter, Linda Lee Clark; son, Glenn Alan Clark; grand- daughters, Michelle Welch, Stephanie Clark and Candace Cassell; and grandson, Andrew Clark. Mrs. Clark, a lifelong Richmond resident from Highland Park, was a retired Richfood employee. Helen graduated from John Marshall High School in 1950. She married in 1951 at Highland Park Methodist Church. Helen's father was a carpenter who built several houses in the Church Hill section of Richmond and who helped reconstruct the historic Agecroft Hall in Richmond's Windsor Farms neighborhood. Throughout her life, Helen enjoyed a love of flower gardening, computers, and mostly spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her remains rest at the Atlee Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday (today), and where funeral services will be held 12 noon Tuesday. Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park.
