Justin Trent Ward

Justin Trent Ward, 29, of Athens, died Friday afternoon, June 22, 2007, at his residence.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was an employee of the Collins-Aikman Corporation. He was a member of Brookhill Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifford Brock, and Vernon and Dean Ward.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Jim and Angelia Ward of Athens; mother and step-father, Rebecca and Dailey Grubb of Athens; two sisters, Crystal Ward and Ashley Giles, both of Athens; two brothers, Chris Ward and Jim Ward, both of Etowah; grandmother, Evelyn Brock of Englewood; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2007, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Duke Crawley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at Bordwine Funeral Home at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 27th, and proceed to Green Hill Cemetery for the 10 a.m. committal service, concluding with the White Dove Liberation Ceremony. Chris Ward, Jim Ward, Jason Green, Josh Simmons, Steven Morrow, Jamie Hampton, Mike Kendall, Mitchell Frye, David Borden and Troy Borden will serve as pallbearers.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the McMinn Regional Humane Society, 219 Alford Street, Athens, TN 37303.
