Charles Henry Campbell (Charlie, C.H.), 92 of Witts Springs, Arkansas, passed away at the Hartville Care Center in Hartville, Missouri, on April 23, 2008, from complication following a stroke.

C.H. was born November 21, 1915, at Snowball, Arkansas, the second of four children born to Homer and Nettie (Cooper) Campbell. He was married in 1939 to Nellie Cozette Drewry, and they made their home in Witts Springs, Arkansas. To this union three sons were born: Charles Devon, Afton Glen, and Kenny Ray. Charlie was a cattle farmer and mail route contractor.

Charlie was very active in the Searcy County Farm Bureau, the Arkansas Farm Bureau, Arkansas Cattlemen's Association, and the Democratic Party. He was a member of the Witts Springs Community Bible Church.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Nettie (Cooper) Campbell, and older brother, Roy Campbell, a younger sister, Lena (Campbell) Fields, and two grandsons, Chris Campbell and Colin Campbell.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Cozette, of the Hartville Care Center, Hartville, Missouri; a younger brother, George (G.V.) Campbell, and wife Vada, of Harrison, Arkansas, three sons, Devon Campbell and wife Faye, of Hartville, Missouri; Afton Campbell of Harrison, Arkansas; and Kenny Campbell and wife, Melanie of Snowball, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, seven nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Burial is under the direction of the Roller-Coffman Funeral Home of Marshall, Arkansas. Interment will be in the Witts Springs Cemetery, Witts Springs, Arkansas. Visitation will be at the funeral home on April 25, 2008 from 6—8 P.M. Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 10:00 A.M., also at the funeral home with Jim Arnold, Jr. officiating. Pallbearers: John Campbell, Carl Campbell, Chuck Campbell, Rob Campbell, John Campbell, and Clifford Campbell. Honorary Pallbearers: Terry Gage, Rudy Oerlemans, David Gentry, Al Castro, Don Barrett, James Jones, Erling Damgarrd, Ronnie Hobbs, Phillip Taylor, Eugene Key, Larry Holst, Duford Taylor, Ardith Smith, Dr. Charles Daniel, George Daniel, Pete Wilson, Senator Randy Laverty, and Mike Hathorn.
