DEATH NOTICE: The Manti Messenger, Saturday 13 November 1897:
Niels Funk, son of Daniel B. and Stena Funk of Sterling, age 9 years died last Friday from liver complaint. Deceased had been sick about five weeks suffering great pain. Funeral services were held at their residence after which the body was brought to Manti and interred in the city cemetery last Monday. The MESSENGER with the whole community sympathize with Mr. Funk and family in their last but not only sorrowful misfortune.
