Harry Oswald was HUSBAND to Evelyn.
They were happily married over 50 years. They had been childhood sweethearts.

She was MOTHER to two children:
(1) DAUGHTER - Harriette
(2) DAUGHTER - Suzanne

She was GRANDMOTHER to several children.

Harry Lee Oswald was the Director of the Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation. He understood major power suppliers would only want to offer services to the larger enters of population with easy access, instead of the smaller, more remote regions. Through his insight, everyone in Arkansas has been provided equal utility service, including the remote rural areas. Oswald helped usher legislation into law, assuring equal services throughout Arkansas.

After retirement, Oswald continued his work in the utility services field. He went to several Latin American nations and helped them establish similar electric cooperatives.
Harry Oswald assured generations of impoverished people as well as vital centers of commerce, adequate power sources. He also bettered relations between the United States and many of it's Latin American neighbors.

He once commented he had a heavy heart when strangers would flinch while reading his name or show a negative reaction. This was because his name was so very similar to
the accused assassin (Lee Harvey Oswald) of President Kennedy.

Mr Oswald carried in his billfold for decades, a small color snapshot. It had been taken in October of 1963 at the dedication of Greer's Ferry Dam in Arkansas. He was on the dias
with many state and national officials and dignitaries plus Pres. John Kennedy! He was very proud of having been included in this group.

Oswald died at the age of 91 years. His passing was noted by the Arkansas Legislature.

The gigantic 'HARRY L. OSWALD GENERATING STATION', located outside of the Arkansas
capitol city of Little Rock, was dedicated in his honor Oct 2nd, 2007.
