Katie Lucille Morgan Ham, 86 (b. 29 Nov 1910), of Nahunta, died Tuesday afternoon (25 Nov 1997) at Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center in Brunswick following a brief illness.

A native of Wayne County, now Brantley County, she was the daughter of the late Ephriam Holton Morgan and Daisy Gertrude Highsmith Morgan. She was the widow of Lee Roy Ham, Sr. and was also predeceased by a daughter, Macie Patricia Ham Lee.

She was a beautician in Nahunta for many years and a homemaker. She was a charter member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors are one daughter, Ione Smith (husband Claude) of Nahunta; one son, Lee Roy Ham, Jr. (wife JoAnn) of Nahunta; 11 grandchildren, Clipper, Sissy, Kay Dara, Deck, Dru, Dodi, Kyle, Kourtney, Kippy, and Jay; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Russ Graham, Rev. Jerry Jarrell and Rev. R.C. Mathis officiating. Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery near Raybon.

Songs, "How Great Thou Art," "Amazing Grace," and "In the Garden." Music was by Knot Culpepper.
Pallbearers were Glenn Hendrix, Cordell Wainright, Bobby Chancey, Ty Raulerson, Jimmy Woodard, and Emory Allen.

Chambless Funeral Home of Nahunta was in charge of arrangements.
