Mrs. Velma Dortch "Honey" Thomas, 88, of Lake City passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at her residence. Born in Lake City, she was the daughter of the late Herman W. and Evelyn Douglas Dortch, and was a lifelong resident of Lake City. She retired from the Columbia County School System as a bus driver. . She was preceded in death by her husband, Elias "E.D." Thomas; son, Randy Thomas; daughter, Victoria; brothers, Dan Dortch and Perry "Buddy" Dortch; sisters, Diane Donaldson, Jean Nash, and Jeanette Thrasher.
