George Washington GRAHAM Sr. was born in Burke County as was his mother, Sarah Ann Elizabeth RACKLEY. His father, the Rev. Abner Francis GRAHAM, was born in western Massachusetts. He and Lula MILLS were married in 1894. He was a farmer, and the Postmaster at Sardis, where he died, in the 64th District of Burke County, with Dr. W. W. HILLIS attending, at the age of 65 years, 2 months and 26 days, with burial in Sardis Cemetery. The informant for his death certificate was his widow, Mrs. Lula MILLS GRAHAM.
