Release Comes to Mrs. Fred Logan
Death Follows Long Period of Illness. Funeral Held at Shelly Funeral Home Today.

Mrs. Fred Logan of West Manchester passed away at her home Saturday evening, Sept. 2nd, 1933, following an illness of many months. In December, 1931, Mrs. Logan was stricken with a stroke of paralysis, and during much of the time since she was helpless, and passed through much suffering. Funeral services are being held at the Shelly funeral house this (Tuesday) afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. M. C. Powers, pastor of the Baptist church, is in charge of the services. Burial is being made in Oakland cemetery.

Nettie L. Stone was born near Elkport, Clayton county, Iowa July 10, 1881, and grew to young womanhood there. When she was fifteen years of age her family moved to Delaware county and located in Hazel Green township. She was united in marriage to Thomas Musgrove of Manchester. To this marriage were born four children--Mrs. Ray Fuller of Manchester, Mrs. Ray Winson of Waterloo; Mrs. Earl Landis of Edgewood, and Miss Lettie Musgrove. Mr. Musgrove died six or seven years after their marriage. On August 21st, 1906, she was united in marriage with Fred Logan of this place and for a time resided on a farm south of Manchester. Mr. and Mrs. Logan were the parents of three children Dale, who died at eleven years of age. Miss Lilllian Logan, who is at home, and Frederick, who died in infancy. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Hines of Osborne, Iowa, Mrs. Joe Bailey of Bain, Minnesota, one brother, Frank Stone of this city, one half sister, living at Bain Minn., and a half brother, Wm. J. Stone of Montana.

Those who were attached to Mrs. Logan in life by tender ties of natural affection, have the sympathy of friends in the sorrow that has come to them.

Paralysis Proves Fatal to Delaware County Woman, 52
Manchester, la.—Mrs. Fred Logan, 52, a resident of Delaware county practically all her life and of Manchester for 27 years, died at her home in West Manchester Friday following
an illness of one and one half years. Death was due to paralysis.

Services will be field at the Shelly funeral home Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. M. C. Powers, of the First Baptist church, will officiate, and interment will be made in Oakland cemetery here.

Nettle Stone was born in Clayton county, near Elkport, July 10, 1881. When 14 years old she moved to Edgewood and later to Ryan.

She was married at Manchester when 19 to Timothy Musgrove of Springfield, Mo., who died seven years later. Four daughters were born: Mrs. Ray Fuller, Manchester; Letha; Mrs. Ray Winsor, Waterloo, and Mrs. Dora Landis, Edgewood.

She was married Aug. 21, 1900, here to Fred Logan, and the home had since been made here. Three children were born to the second marriage: Miss Lillian Logan, at home; Dale, who died in 1919, and another son died in infancy.

Surviving are the husband and daughter named; one brother, Frank Stone, Manchester; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Hines, Osborne, Ia.; Mrs. Joseph Bailey and Mrs. Laura Harness, of Minnesota; one half sister, Mrs. Mae Pratt, Minnesota; a half brother, William Stone, Montana, and four grandchildren.
