Daughter of William Buck Chiles and Ann Eliza Young Chiles of Giles County, Tennessee, Ida married Edward Porter Clark, also of Giles County, Tennessee on 28 October 1897 in Ellis County, Texas. Their children were Walter Clark, William Floyd Clark, Edwin Porter Clark, Harvey Clay Clark, and infant Fannie May Clark who died 15 days after her mother's death.

Infant Fannie May Clark died 15 days after Ida & is buried next to her mother. Their burials are recorded in the Glenwood Cemetery and found in the Ellis County Cemetery Book, Volume 2 page 37.

Ida's Chiles ancestors can be traced and are documented with prime source records back to the immigrant Walter Chiles I from Bristol, England who died circa 1653 at Black Point, Jamestown, James City County, Virginia Colony.

"Two Deaths Sunday"

"Mrs. E. P. Clark, wife of a young farmer near Bardwell, died yesterday. The interment took place today at Glenwood Cemetery near Nash."
