Dottie S. Hughes

Dottie Marjorie Skipper Hughes, 93, of Conway, wife of the late Cleveland Alvie Hughes, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008 at Conway Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008 in Cedar Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Hord officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. Sign a guestbook at goldfinchfuneralhome.com.

Mrs. Hughes was born in Conway, a daughter of the late Nettie Skipper Jordan.

She was a member of Juniper Bay Baptist Church.

Surviving are: four sons, Jack Hughes (Dora Dean) of Garden City, Howard Hughes (Jean) of Conway, Freddy Hughes (Sherry) of Florence, and Roger Hughes (Brenda) of Conway; one daughter, Sharon Johnson (Jerry) of Myrtle Beach; three sisters, Hazel Flowers and Danette Osborne both of Conway, and Annie Faye Jayroe of Georgetown; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jackie Denise Farwell.
