Harry served as a Staff Sergeant & Radio Operator/Aerial Gunner aboard B-24D Liberator #42-40205 "The Joker", 415th Bomber Squadron, 98th Bomber Group, 9th Air Force, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in the District Of Columbia prior to the war.

Harry was "Killed In Action" when his B-24 was shot down by German Bf-109 fighter, and crashed near Scorrano, Italy during the war. He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.

Three crew members deployed parachutes, but all ten crew members were Killed In Action.

He was originally interred in Bari, Italy and was later repatriated here on February 15, 1950.
